Care Instructions

Light:
Olive trees love light. Place yours in the brightest location possible, ideally near a south- or west-facing window where it can receive several hours of direct sunlight each day.

Water:
Allow the top 2–3 inches of soil to dry before watering thoroughly. Olive trees prefer to dry slightly between waterings and are more tolerant of being a little dry than consistently wet. Always allow excess water to drain completely.

Humidity:
Average household humidity is perfectly suitable. Unlike many tropical houseplants, olive trees do not require high humidity.

Temperature:
Keep your olive tree in a bright, comfortable space and away from extreme temperature changes. During Ontario winters, avoid placing it directly against cold windows or near exterior doors.

Plant Parent Tip:
The secret to a happy indoor olive tree is lots of sunshine and careful watering. Rotate your tree every couple of weeks to encourage balanced growth, and don't be afraid to let the soil dry slightly between drinks.
