Maranta Lemon Lime Plant - 4" Pot

Bright, playful and full of personality, the Maranta Lemon Lime is loved for its striking patterned foliage and vibrant shades of green. Often called a Prayer Plant, its leaves naturally move throughout the day, sitting flatter during daylight hours and folding upward in the evening.

Grown in a 4-inch nursery pot, its compact size makes it perfect for shelves, desks, bedside tables and smaller spaces. With its bold markings and trailing growth habit, the Maranta Lemon Lime is an easy way to add colour and texture to your houseplant collection.

Care Instructions

Light:
Maranta Lemon Lime prefers bright, indirect light. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which can scorch or fade its leaves. It can tolerate lower light conditions, although growth may be slower.

Water:
Keep the soil lightly and consistently moist, but never soggy. Water when the top inch of soil begins to feel dry and allow excess water to drain. Marantas can be sensitive to minerals in tap water, so filtered or distilled water can help prevent crispy leaf edges.

Humidity:
Prefers moderate to high humidity. A humidifier or naturally humid room can help keep the foliage looking its best, especially during dry Ontario winters.

Temperature:
Keep in a warm, comfortable location away from cold drafts, heating vents and sudden temperature changes.

Plant Parent Tip:
If the edges of your Maranta's leaves start turning brown or crispy, check the humidity and your water quality. These tropical plants appreciate consistent moisture and a little extra humidity.

Pet Safety:
Maranta plants are generally considered non-toxic to cats and dogs, making them a great option for pet-friendly homes.
