Begonia Maculata - 4" Pot

Striking, playful and instantly recognizable, the Begonia Maculata is loved for its dramatic spotted foliage. Also known as the Polka Dot Begonia, its elongated green leaves are covered in silvery-white spots with rich reddish undersides, making it a standout addition to any houseplant collection.

Grown in a 4-inch nursery pot, its petite size makes it perfect for shelves, desks, windowsills and plant displays. With the right light and humidity, Begonia Maculata can develop into a beautiful statement plant with cascading clusters of delicate flowers.

Care Instructions

Light:
Begonia Maculata prefers bright, indirect light. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which can scorch its delicate leaves. A spot near a bright window with filtered light is ideal.

Water:
Water when the top inch of soil begins to feel dry. Keep the soil lightly and consistently moist, but never soggy. Allow excess water to drain completely and avoid letting the plant sit in standing water.

Humidity:
Prefers moderate to high humidity. Begonias appreciate extra humidity, particularly during dry Ontario winters, but avoid leaving the foliage consistently wet.

Temperature:
Keep in a warm, comfortable location away from cold drafts, heating vents and sudden temperature changes.

Begonia Maculata loves consistency. Bright indirect light, steady watering and good humidity will help keep those signature spotted leaves looking their best.
