Alocasia Batik - 4" Pot

Care Instructions

Light:
Alocasia Batik prefers bright, indirect light. Keep it away from prolonged direct sunlight, which can scorch its leaves. A bright spot near a window with filtered light is ideal.

Water:
Water when the top inch or two of soil begins to feel dry. Alocasias prefer evenly moist soil but should never be left sitting in water. Allow excess water to drain completely and reduce watering during periods of slower growth.

Humidity:
Prefers moderate to high humidity. A humidifier can be especially helpful during dry Ontario winters and will help keep the foliage looking its best.

Temperature:
Keep in a warm location away from cold drafts, air conditioning and heating vents. Alocasias are tropical plants and appreciate consistent temperatures.

Plant Parent Tip:
Alocasias can occasionally drop older leaves as they produce new ones, so don't panic over a single yellowing leaf. Consistent warmth, humidity, bright indirect light and careful watering are the keys to keeping your Batik happy.

Alocasia is toxic if ingested and can cause irritation, so keep this plant out of reach of curious pets and children.
